HR-872 Heartland Capital Lending
Description: In the Admin Portal, we have added a banner and link to the Heartland Capital lending site.
Details: Heartland always strives to help businesses succeed with innovative payment technology solutions and other smart ways to boost their business. We have recently partnered with Lendio to give business owners unprecedented access to capital by exposing potential funding solutions within our Heartland POS products, thereby making it easy for merchants to engage with products and services like Lending directly from their POS.
For procedures describing how to use this feature, please see “Heartland Capital Setup Guide for Heartland Restaurant“.
HR-1150 Heartland Restaurant Now Supports BeerSAVER Systems
Description: Heartland Restaurant now supports the BeerSAVER liquor management system.
Details: BeerSAVER Systems provides our clients the opportunity to monitor the ounces of beer poured each day on each tap. With POS integration, this will allow us to pull the data of the sales transactions so each taps pour can correspond correctly with the item that should be rung through.
HR-1183 Resellers and Admin Users Can Edit Location Settings
Description: Resellers and users with Admin level security in the Admin Console can now edit location settings in the Location Info screen.
Details: In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Location. In the Locations screen, select an existing location. In the settings screen, users with admin permission can edit a location’s settings, including street address, city, state, ZIP code, and time zone.
HR-1228 Sites Using Incremental Preauthorizations Can Also Use QSR
Description: Sites that perform incremental preauthorizations can now also use QSR displays.
Details: If your site uses the Portico Direct service, they can now use the incremental preauthorization feature and the QSR display system. In previous versions, if a site performed incremental preauthorizations, the program could not use QSR displays.
HR-1234 Resellers Can Now Access Integration Settings
Description: In the Admin Console, resellers now have access to the integration options.
Details: In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, select an account and then then click Integrations. In the Integrations screen, click New. In the Integration Setup panel, in the Integration Type list, resellers can now select and configure all integration type, except those that are behind our pay wall. Resellers no longer need to call our Support department to request access these integrations and their settings.
HR-1275 Contactless Payment
Description: Customers can now make credit card payments for tickets online.
Details: We have added the ability to pay for tickets online by scanning a QR code on the ticket with a cell phone or other mobile device. Customers can scan a ticket’s code with or without the Guest app. When they scan the ticket’s code, the mobile device will open the site’s web page, allowing the customer to select a payment option, enter the information for a new credit card, and pay the ticket.
For detailed procedures on how to set up and use the contactless payment features, see “Contactless Payment Setup Guide”.
HR-1299 Heartland Restaurant Now Supports Dataurant System
Description: Heartland Restaurant now supports the Dataurant data reporting system.
Details: QuickBooks is the 800-pound gorilla for generating reports that restaurants need when paying taxes, employees, and partners. When selecting Heartland’s POS as the hub for restaurant data, Dataurant is the bridge that effortlessly streams data into QuickBooks. While Heartland is taking care of the front-of-the-house, Dataurant is safely enhancing the back-office experience using:
- Online Orders
- Tips & Payroll Hours
- House Accounts
- Credit Card Charges
- Cash Deposits
- Sales by Category
- Vendor Invoices
- Inventory Items
- Petty Cash Payouts
Plug it in to start the bridge and see the big picture from all angles using reports that you can understand.
Updates
The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
HR-1265 Order Completion Messages for Online Ordering
Description: You can now enter order completion messages for the Online Ordering website.
Details: In previous versions of the Admin Console, you may have been unable to enter an order completion message for online orders. In the Admin Console, in the Online Ordering screen, the Order Completion Message area includes controls that enable you to set the Online Ordering website to display a message when it completes a carryout or delivery order. However, in previous versions, you may have been unable to enter any text in the Title or Message boxes in either the Carryout Settings or Delivery Settings areas. We have corrected this, and you can now enter titles and messages in the Title or Message boxes for both carryout and delivery orders.
HR-1283 POS Connection Test for A920
Description: The Test EMV Connection function now displays accurate results for the A920 payment terminal.
Details: In previous versions, if your site uses the A920 payment terminal, you may have seen an error when testing the POS connection with the card reader. In the POS, if you tap the card reader icon (in the top panel) and then tap Test EMV Connection, the POS may have incorrectly described the connection as failed (“Failed connection to A920”) even when it was connected. We have corrected this, and the Test EMV Connection function now displays accurate results.
HR-1298 No QSR Delivery Errors from Online Orders
Description: The POS no longer generates QSR delivery errors when receiving tickets from the Online Ordering website.
Details: In previous versions, on sites not using the QSR service, the POS may have generated an error (“QSR Delivery Failure”) when it received a ticket from the Online Ordering website. In such cases, the POS would try to send the online order to the QSR service, even if it was not set to do so. We have corrected this, and the POS no longer generates QSR delivery errors when receiving tickets from the Online Ordering website.
HR-1301 No Duplicate ingredients on Kitchen Slips
Description: The POS no longer prints duplicates of ingredients in the kitchen slips.
Details: In previous versions, if you added a “half & half” item to a ticket, removed a sub item from one half and added another sub item, then sent the order, the POS may have printed duplicates of the sub item’s ingredients, both removed and added. We have corrected this, and the POS no longer prints duplicates of ingredients in the kitchen slips.
