Heartland Retail can track sales commissions through the sales rep field and also through custom fields and reporting.
Here is how to build a report on commissions by sales rep:
Filter:
- Filter by the date you would like to see
Groups:
- Sales >> Sales Rep
Metrics:
- Source Sales >> Gross Sales
- Source Sales >> Net Markdowns
- Source Sales >> Gross Returned
- Source Sales >> Net Sales
- Source Sales >> Net QTY Sold
You can also track different commissions for different items through custom fields. The first thing you will want to do is create a custom field on your items called "% commission." After this is complete, you can build a report to view commission by sales rep. Below are the steps on how to build that report:
Filter:
- Filter by the date you would like to see
Groups:
- Date
- Sale >> Ticket #
- Sale >> Sales Rep
- Item >> Item #
- Item >> Item Description
- Item >> % Commission
Metrics:
- Source Sales >> Gross Sales
- Source Sales >> Net Markdowns
- Source Sales >> Gross Returned
- Source Sales >> Net Sales
- Source Sales >> Net QTY Sold
You can then export this report into excel and calculate employee commissions amounts in total or by items.
