If you're using the Springboard Retail / Heartland payment processing integration, you'll need the PAX S300 device for payment processing:
Your Heartland rep can help you purchase a PAX S300 that is ready to use with Springboard Retail. Once you have the PAX S300, setting it up with Springboard Retail is easy. This article will walk you through those steps.
1. Activate the Heartland gateway in your Springboard Retail account
In Springboard Retail, navigate to Settings > Credit Cards. You will see a list of all store locations in your account. You will need to activate Heartland in each location.
To do that, click on the location name, which will take you to this page:
Click the "Add Gateway" button, and you will see the Heartland logo on the following page:
Click the "Choose" link to activate and click the "Enable" button on the resulting popup. You should then see that Heartland is enabled:

The PAX S300 is an ethernet device. Once you have plugged the device in to the router, it will be available to access on a Mac, PC or iPad after you have followed the remaining steps.
