If you are experiencing issues with the connectivity of your PAX device to Springboard Retail, it might be due to out of date firmware on the device. We recommend that you update the firmware on your PAX S300 according to the following instructions:
1. Reboot the terminal by unplugging the power cord from the device.
2. Plug the power back in.
3. As soon as you see the “Self Test” message on the screen, press the blue Func key on the keypad.
4. When you see the screen shown below, press the red cancel button on the keypad.
5. On the next screen shown below, choose "Remote Download" by pressing 4 on the keypad:
6. Next, choose "New Download" by pressing 1 on the keypad:
7. On the next screen, choose "TCP" by pressing 1 on the keypad:
8. For the remote IP, enter "50.79.90.190” and then press the green button on the keypad. (Note: to enter a “.”, press 1 on the keypad and then use the Alpha key to toggle to a “.”)
9. Enter "8001" for the port number and then press the green button on the keypad.
10. On the next screen press 1 on the keypad to enable DHCP:
11. Enter the terminal ID (30030069) with the keypad and press the green button:
Once the download completes, you will see this screen:
12. Reboot the terminal again by unplugging the power cord from the device.
