How to add bag tax to a sale

If you are in an area with a mandatory bag tax. 

You could just create an item called bag tax and apply that to the point of sale ticket, but then it would go into your sales for the day rather than your "tax collected."

Create a non inventoried item (make this a link to non inventoried items article) called "bag tax." Make the item $0.

Create a tax rule called "Bag Tax." Set up the "type" as "flat per item" with the amount being how ever much is charged per bag. You will also use the "filters" section below to make sure this tax rule is only applied when the bag tax item is applied to a sale.
