Sites can only use the Valutec PAX payment gateway to process gift card transactions. Currently, Genius does not support using Valutec PAX to process loyalty transactions.
To use the Valutec PAX payment gateway, the site must run Genius version 6.20 or later. The must also use the Genius service for credit card payment processing.

Troubleshooting
The following list describes the causes and solutions to certain errors you might encounter while setting up a site to use Valutec.
Double Swipe
If you encounter “double swipe” errors, contact PAX Support and request them to set the “GIFT/LOYALTY Card Check Type for INPUTACCOUNT” setting in the PAX device to “Exclude from CREDIT BIN”.
Unpack Error
If you receive a “Bad file push” error, contact PAX Support and ask them to send another file push.
If you receive an “unpack” error, you may have entered an invalid TID in the PAX device’s parameter settings.
NFS Error (Split Tender)
If you receive a “NFS” error when performing a partial authorization (such as paying a ticket with a gift card that has an insufficient balance), contact Valutec Sales Support (SalesSupport@valutec.net) and request that they enable the “Split Tender” setting.
