What’s New
The following release notes detail the enhancements we have included in this release.
US-11625 Certified for Integration with RIOT Inventory Management
With this release, Heartland Retail is now certified for integration with RIOT software solutions. RIOT provides retailers with quick and easy visibility into and control of their inventory. With this tool, merchants can save hours of manual labor when tracking sales and managing inventory. For more information about RIOT, please refer to the Riot website.
HRTL-1809 Corrected ‘Print & Clear’ Behavior in In-Store Replenishment
In previous versions, if you selected Print & Clear in the In-Store Replenishment option of Inventory, it would revert back to a date earlier than the designated Sold Since Date. With this release, it displays inventory as expected using the correct date.
HRTL-7453 Updated Cost Column Heading on Count Discrepancy Tab
With this release, to more accurately reflect the data displayed on the Count Discrepancy Tab, we have renamed Default Cost to Unit Cost.
HRTL-7476 Improved Display of Lengthy Item Numbers
In previous versions, if you viewed an item with a lengthy item number, instead of wrapping the item number to fit the size of the modal, the POS would display it in one line that extended beyond the edges of the modal. With this release, such numbers display wrapped to fit the current modal’s size.
HRTL-7901 Plug-and-Play Ability for Epson Receipt Printer via LAN for iOS
Heartland Retail now allows you to add an Epson receipt printer via LAN (local area network) connection to your iOS POS device without installing drivers or other software. Connect the printer via LAN to a router, ensure that your iOS device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network, connect the printer to a power source, and it is ready for use. We currently support this functionality for the Epson M30iii receipt printer.
HRTL-7943 Implement Separate ‘Secure Submit’ Credentials Section
Since merchants receive separate credentials for the Heartland Payments Gateway and Secure Submit, Heartland Retail now displays separate sections for these credentials on the Heartland Payment Gateway page.
The system will automatically validate entries upon selecting Save. If users do not enter values in the Secure Submit section, the system will skip the validation for those fields.
HRTL-7944 Use ‘Secure Submit’ Credentials for Manual Card Entry
To ensure that manually entered card transactions are correctly recorded as ‘Card Not Present’ (CNP) transactions, Heartland Retail will process these transactions using Secure Submit credentials when such credentials are present.
HRTL-8047 Enhanced Validation When Updating ‘Current Price’
In previous versions, merchants sometimes encountered issues when updating the Current Price field for items with item numbers that matched other items’ vendor item numbers. This resulted from the validation process which checked for the item number to be unique but then also checked the unrelated vendor item number field. If it found a matching value in the latter, it failed to save the changes. With this release, the validation disregards the unrelated vendor item number field and the price changes are successfully saved.
HRTL-8197 Add ‘Drawer Action’ Data to Reports Analyzer Options
With this release, we have added cash drawer event activity to the Reports Analyzer. This not only increases our already robust reporting capabilities, but also facilitates quick and accurate financial reconciliation for merchants. When you select the Drawer Action option from the Groups dropdown, the resulting report will include the following:
- Cash Drawer >> Name
- Cash Paid Out
- Cash Paid Out >> Reason
- Cash Paid Out >> Amount
- Cash Paid Out >> User
- Cash Paid In
- Cash Paid In >> Reason
- Cash Paid In >> Amount
- Cash Paid In >> User
- No Sale >> Reason
Please note: Users must at Location >> Name as a selected data point to pull Drawer Action data via the Report Analyzer.
HRTL-8936 Eliminate ‘Select a Destination’ Step When Printing from Invoice
To streamline the workflow when printing from an invoice, we have eliminated the unnecessary Select a destination dropdown from the modal. With this change, users need only to select the Print button and they will be taken to a PDF rendering of the selected print job.
Updates
The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
HRTL-7213 Fixed Behavior When Changing Quantity on Sales Order
In previous versions, if you created an invoice from an existing sales order with two line items and then reduced the quantity of the first item, if you then selected the second item, the first item’s quantity would update to an amount equal to the remaining quantity of the order. With this release, the quantity remains consistent with the input value as expected.
HRTL-7911 Fixed Purchase Order Quantity Update Issue
In previous versions, merchants sometimes encountered issues when updating quantities on purchase orders. This occurred when purchase orders included multiple locations without a default location. In these instances, if you created a receipt with the purchase order using the same quantities for the selected purchase order items and then reduced these quantities in the purchase order by resetting the Open Qty, the Total Qty and Total Cost in the receipt would not show the Unauthorized Qty and Cost. With this release, such quantity updates are processed correctly as expected.
HRTL-8000 Fixed Purchase Order Receipt Search Behavior
In previous versions, if you attempted to search for a receipt on the Purchase Order page, after briefly displaying a filtered list of all matching receipts, the system would return to the full list. With this release, it remains on the filtered list as expected.
HRTL-8988 Fixed Dashboard MTD Reporting Failure
In previous versions, if you selected Month to Date for the dashboard date range, the dashboard failed to process the request. Instead, it remained on the current results. With this release, the dashboard displays MTD results as expected.
