The following release notes detail the enhancements we have included in this release.
HRTL-9034 Add Platform with Version Number on POS Screens
So merchants can easily see which version of Heartland Retail they are currently running, we have added this information (e.g., ‘Platform: 2023.10.190’) to the Heartland Retail login screen as well as the POS screen as shown in these images:
HRTL-9579 Update ‘Clear All Devices’ to ‘Clear All Selected Devices’
To give merchants more control and clarity related to devices and their functions, we have updated the Clear All Devices option in Point of Sale Settings with the more accurate label of Clear All Selected Devices.
If you select the Clear All Selected Devices option, it will clear, or deselect, only those items that have been selected from any of the three device lists:
- Receipt Printer
- Payment Device
- Customer Display Device
Should the need arise to restore devices cleared in such a manner, they will remain as available options in the dropdown lists for you to reselect.

The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
HRTL-9345 Enforce ‘Per Page’ Selection on Inventory Adjustments Page
In previous versions, if you selected a value other than the default of 10 from the per page dropdown on a list page (e.g., the Items page), that setting was enforced on all other list pages except for the Inventory > Adjustments page. For a more consistent user experience, the POS now enforces the designated per page value set from other pages in this page as well.
HRTL-9409 Fixed Reporting Permissions Issue
In previous versions, if you enabled ALL possible reporting permissions for a Role under which users are to have access only to run reports (with all other permissions disabled), the POS would not allow users with the assigned role to run reports. Instead, it displayed a message indicating, ‘This report contains groups and metrics that you are not authorized to see.’ With this release, the POS allows roles with reporting permissions to view reports as expected.
HRTL-9463 Fixed Issue Saving Value to Grid Dimension
In previous versions, users were sometimes unable to save a new value, such as an additional color, to an existing grid dimension with a large number of items. In these instances, when they selected Save, instead of saving the new value, the POS displayed an error. With this release, the POS saves these changes as expected and without error.
HRTL-9696 Fixed List Behavior After Using ‘Find’ to Add Items
In previous versions, if you used the Find option to add items to a sale and then, after adding the items, selected Find again, the POS displayed the page with an empty search field, as expected, but with only previously filter results instead of a complete list. With this release, in such scenarios, the POS displays a complete list as expected.
