Upsell profiles allow you to set the Online Ordering website, Guest app, and Kiosk to display suggestive selling prompts to customers. For example, a customer might order a burger and a side item like fries, but no beverage. When the customer tries to pay, the app can “read” that order and recommend options to the customer (such as “Do you want a drink with your order?”) By defining an upsell profile, you can set the conditions that trigger an upsell prompt, as well as the text of the prompt.
You can only use upsell profiles with the Online Ordering website and the Skip the Line, Kiosk, and Guest apps. You cannot use them with the POS.
To access the Upsell Profiles screen, log into the Admin Console, select an appropriate account. In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Menu, then click Upsell Profiles. In the Upsell Profiles screen, click New to create a new upsell profile.
Name: Type a descriptive name for the new upsell profile.
Message Prompt: Type the specific text of the upsell prompt, such as “Would you like to add a beverage?”
Assigned Sections: This list enables you to set one or more menu sections as the option offered by the upsell prompt. To add a section to this list, click Select a Section and select an appropriate section. The list includes all of the menu sections you have created in the Sections screen.
Later, if the program displays this upsell prompt and the customer clicks Yes, the program will display all menu items associated with the tags that you added to the Assigned Tags list, allowing the customer to add more items to the ticket.
Assigned Items: This list enables you to select one or more specific menu items as the option offered by the upsell prompt. To add an item to this list, click Select an Item and select an appropriate item. The list includes all of the menu items you have created in the Items screen.
Later, if the program displays this upsell prompt and the customer clicks Yes, the program will display all of the menu items you added to the Assigned Items list, allowing the customer to add more items to the ticket.
Assigned Tags: This list enables you to select one or more tagged menu items as the option offered by the upsell prompt. To add a tag to this list, click Select a Tag and select an appropriate tag. The list includes all of the tags you have created in the Attributes/Tags screen.
Later, if the program displays this upsell prompt and the customer clicks Yes, the program will display all menu items associated with the tags that you added to the Assigned Tags list, allowing the customer to add more items to the ticket.
Order Missing: This list enables you to set the program to display the upsell prompt when all of its specified items are missing or if only one of its specified items is missing.
If you select Prompt for upsell when order is missing ANY items listed below, the program will display this upsell prompt if the order is missing any of the items that you have added to the Missing Sections, Missing Items, and Missing Tags lists.
If you select Prompt for upsell when order is missing ALL items listed below, then the program will only display the upsell prompt if the order is missing all of the items that you have added to the Missing Sections, Missing Items, and Missing Tags lists.
Missing Sections: This list enables you to set the program to use menu sections as a condition that triggers this upsell prompt. To add a section to this list, click Select a Section and select an appropriate menu section. Later, if a customer does not add a menu item associated with one of these sections to their ticket, the program will display the upsell prompt (if all other triggering conditions are met).
Missing Items: This list enables you to set the program to use specific menu items as conditions that trigger this upsell prompt. To add a menu item to this list, click Select an Item and select an appropriate item. Later, if a customer does not add these menu items to their ticket, the program will display the upsell prompt (if all other triggering conditions are met).
Missing Tags: This list enables you to set the program to use tags as a condition that triggers this upsell prompt. To add a tag to this list, click Select a Tag and select an appropriate tag. Later, if a customer does not add a menu item associated with one of these tags to their ticket, the program will display the upsell prompt (if all other triggering conditions are met).
