Overview
This document describes the newly enhanced Analysis Reporting interface behavior that introduces a Run Report button. As well, for improved performance, the POS will not begin generating a report until the button is selected. This functionality is available in Heartland Retail versions 2023.12.050 and later.

Using the ‘Run Report’ Button
The Run Report button displays in a static position at the bottom of the Analysis Reporting page, along with Insert chart, Export, and Save. Reports will generate only after you have selected the Run Report button.
When you enter the Analysis Reporting page, the POS will display a notification banner informing you of behavior. You can dismiss this banner by tapping the X.
Once you have defined your desired parameters, select the Run Report button.
As a report runs, the POS will display a Report Results status section indicating that the report is processing along with a Cancel Report button should you wish to stop the report from generating. As a report is generating, the Run Report button will change to a deactivated Processing button.
If you have selected invalid parameters, or if there is no data that matches your selected parameters, the POS will display a message to that effect in a gray banner at the bottom of the screen.
