Update
A component of the recently released version 2024.01.090 of Heartland Retail introduced an issue with the POS that may have prevented users from creating new tickets. Due to this issue, we successfully identified the specific ticket and performed a rollback of changes pertaining to it. Here is a description of the ticket in question:
Rolled Back HRTL-9648 Addressing Ticket Behavior When Switching Source Location
This ticket was meant to address an issue that occurred if you switched Source Location after starting a new ticket started a ticket. In these instances, instead of continuing with the existing ticket, the POS would create a new ticket. However, the fix inadvertently caused new tickets, in some instances, to jump to other tickets that had been previously put on hold. This occurred when information was entered into the new ticket’s Custom Field before adding items, customers, or sales reps.
It’s important to note that the entire release was not rolled back; therefore, all other new features and enhancements in 2024.01.090 are still available. This release merely stops the ticket jumping behavior described above.
