What’s New
The following release notes detail the enhancements we have included in this release.
HRTL-10630 Update Email Sender Address for Gmail and Yahoo! Compliance
Effective February 1, 2024, Gmail and Yahoo! will implement policy changes affecting senders of mass email communications. To ensure compliance with these new policies, and to guarantee that emails sent via Heartland Retail (such as those related to receipts, sales orders, and purchase orders) are not marked as spam or otherwise blacklisted, all outgoing emails will now be delivered from no-reply@retail.heartland.us. All such emails will include the default company name as noted in the Company Info page of POS settings. As well, the system will automatically reroute any replies to the Reply To email address as configured by the merchant.
Please note:
- All other receipt formats will remain as before.
- All branding standards will remain intact.
HRTL-10631 Update Email Field in Receipts, Purchase Orders, and Sales Orders
To more accurately reflect its purpose, and to align with the changes described in HRTL-10630, we have updated the email address field name on various pages from Custom Email Address to Reply-To Address.
This update is reflected on the Receipts, Purchase Orders, and Sales Orders pages.
Updates
The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
HRTL-10712 Fixed Issue with Credit Card Signature Slips Printing Twice
In previous versions, depending on configuration, the POS sometimes printed two signature slips for credit card payments. This occurred for merchants with digital signature disabled and automatic receipt printing enabled. With this release, we have corrected and the POS prints only one signature slip as expected.
