The Payment Gateway screen includes controls that enable you to configure the location to use a credit card or gift card processing service.
To access the Payment Gateway screen, log into the Admin Console, select an appropriate account and location. In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Location Setup, then click Payment Gateway.
Portico Credentials
The dealer receives two emails (“Enterprise Hub: Activation Notice”) with two sets of Portico Gateway credentials.
Gateway credentials for online ordering transactions:
- MID: 5704 suffix
- These credentials are used to process online orders. Additionally, they are also used to process Scan-to-Pay, Scan-to-Order, and web-based manual card entry transactions in the POS.
- “The Enterprise Hub: Activation Notice for Online Ordering” will include your online ordering credentials, including a Public Key.
Gateway credentials for in-store transactions:
- MID: 5703 suffix
- These credentials will match the credentials in the PAX terminal management system and on the PAX terminal.
- “The Enterprise Hub: Activation Notice for PAX” will include your PAX terminal credentials, including the PAX terminal type.
In-Store Settings Tab
In the In-Store Settings tab, you can configure the location to use a credit card processing service.
EMV Solution: Select PAX.
PAX Interface: Select Heartland SDK.
Gift Card: If the location is using a service to process gift cards, select the service in this list.
Portico Direct: Select this check box if the location will process credit card transactions strictly with Global Payments. This will enable the location to perform credit refunds and voids more rapidly by processing directly through Portico.
Transaction Method: Select Sale/Adjust.
Gift Card: If the location uses a service to process gift cards, select Global Payments.
Note: Gift card processing is not supported on PAX devices, but it is supported with Global Payments Restaurant POS and can be used with MSRs and QR code scans.
Online Settings Tab
In the Online Settings tab, you can configure the Online Ordering website to use the location’s credit card processing service.
To find the information needed for the settings in the Online Settings tab, refer to the “The Enterprise Hub: Activation Notice for Online Ordering” for the five-part Portico credentials and public key.
Gateway: Select Global Payments/Portico.
Transaction Method: Select Sale/Adjust.
Public Key: Enter the location’s Public Key.
Online Device ID: Enter the location’s Online Device ID.
Online Site ID: Enter the location’s Online Site ID.
Online License ID: Enter the location’s Online License ID.
Username: Enter the location’s online username.
Password: Enter the location’s online password.
Global Payments Gift: If you select this check box, the program will provide gift card service in the Online Ordering app and also accept and process gift card transactions in-store. If you select this check box, the program will display the Global Payments Gift Settings panel.

Global Payments In-Store Settings Tab
Enter the following information to configure the location to use Portico Direct.
To find the information needed for the settings in the Global Payments In-Store Settings tab, refer to the “The Enterprise Hub: Activation Notice for PAX” for the five-part Portico credentials.
- Site ID: Enter the PAX Site ID.
- License ID: Enter the PAX License ID.
- Device ID: Enter the PAX Device ID.
- Username: Enter the PAX Portico username.
- Password: Enter the PAX Portico password.
Allow Manual Entry for Credit Cards: If you select this check box, the POS will allow servers to enter credit card numbers manually. In the POS payment screen, the app will display the Card button with ellipses (...). If you press and hold the Card button, the app will open a panel prompting you to enter the credit card number, expiration date, CVV, and ZIP/Postal code.
Global Payments Gift Settings Panel
In this panel, you can configure the location to use a processing service to process gift card transactions.
URL: Enter the URL address.
Username: Enter the Global Payments Gift username.
Password: Enter the Global Payments Gift password.
Domain: Enter the domain (such as hps).
Chain: Enter the chain information.
Store: Enter the store number.
