What’s New
The following release notes detail the enhancements we have included in this release.
HRTL-10594 Optimize Discovery Time When Reloading Devices
We have streamlined the background processes triggered when users select the Reload Devices option so that the POS returns results more quickly, in as little as half the time previously required.
HRTL-10810 Enforce Positive Amount for Gift Card Sales
Given that the sale of a gift card should always result in the gift card being loaded with a positive amount, the POS now validates amounts entered when selling new gift cards and adding value to existing gift cards. If you enter a zero or negative amount, the POS will display an error indicating that it failed to add the gift card line and will display a red notation under the Amount field indicating that the value must be positive.
With this validation in place, the POS more effectively ensures against inadvertent errors and eliminates the potential for fraud.
HRTL-10813 Add Digital Signature to Datacap Receipts via PAX A35
To ensure that both merchants and customers have complete details for credit card transactions processed via Datacap using the PAX A35, the POS now includes the digital signature, if captured, on all printed receipts, including those generated from the back office.
Updates
The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
HRTL-10149 Implement Correct Error Message When Canceling Payment
In previous versions, the POS displayed an ‘Unknown error’ message when users canceled an in-progress payment. For clarity, we have updated this message to read, ‘Failed to process payment: TRANSACTION CANCELED BY USER’.
HRTL-10391 Clarify Default Error Message for QuickBooks Online
In previous versions, when QuickBooks Online (QBO) syncs failed due to the sync being disabled, the POS displayed a message reading, ‘QBO integrations disabled. Please enable integration to sync.’ This message lacked detail, thereby leaving merchants uncertain as to what produced the failure and, more importantly, how to address it. With this release, the message includes an explanation of the problem as well as instructions to proceed: ‘QBO integration is currently paused. Please select the Status tab and press Play to start the sync.’
HRTL-10743 Fixed Behavior When Adding New Color to Grid Dimension
In previous versions, merchants were sometimes unable to add new colors to their existing grid dimensions. When doing so, after entering the color name and selecting Save, the POS displayed a message indicating success, but it did not actually save the new color. With this release, the POS saves new colors as expected.
