On occasion, you may receive instructions to clear the app cache for the Heartland Retail POS. The steps below will walk you through the process on your NextGen device.
- Navigate to the home screen by pressing the home button (circle) at the bottom of the ELO.
- Select the Settings application on the home screen.
- Select Apps from the Settings menu.
- Select HeartlandRetailPOS under the ‘Recently opened apps’ header. If it is not present, select See all apps and select HeartlandRetailPOS from the list that displays.
- Select Storage & Cache.
- Select Clear Storage. (Clearing storage clears both the cache and storage. We need both cleared for desired effect.)
- At the ‘Delete app data’ confirmation prompt, select OK.
After performing this reset, your application's cache should be clear, and operations should improve.
