What’s New?
The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
HR-56128 Cash and Non-Cash Totals Added to Receipts in Cash Discounting Locations
For locations using Cash Discounting, we have added the Total (Cash) and Total (Non-Cash) lines to receipts. The Total (Cash) line displays the receipt’s total with a cash discount applied. The Total (Non-Cash) line displays the receipt’s total with no cash discount applied.
Updates
The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
HR-54755 Items No Longer Disappear From Ticket After Being Sent
In previous versions of the iOS POS, if you added items to a ticket using more than one POS, some items may have seemingly disappeared from the ticket for no apparent reason. For instance, you may have added a menu item to a ticket on one POS, then added a second item to the same ticket on a different POS, then added a third item to the ticket using the first POS. After sending these items to the kitchen printers, you may have reviewed the ticket on each POS. In such cases, when reviewing the ticket on one POS, the app may have listed all three items properly in the ticket.
However, when reviewing the ticket on the second POS, the app may have listed only two items properly. Also, if you paid the ticket with the second POS, the app may have only included the two visible items when calculating the ticket’s total. We have corrected this, and now when you add menu items to a single ticket using multiple POS workstations, they no longer disappear from the ticket after being sent to the kitchen printers.
HR-55361 Context Item Buttons for Half-and-Half Menu Items
In previous versions, the POS may not have displayed context item buttons properly for half-and-half items. Normally, when you add a menu item to a ticket, the POS displays the buttons of any available context items with three dots (to alert servers that they are available).
In previous versions, if you added a half-and-half menu item to a ticket, the POS displayed the buttons of its available context items properly with three dots. However, if you then selected either the right or left half of the item, the POS may not have displayed the buttons of its context items with the three dots. We have corrected this, and now when you select one half of a half-and-half item in the POS Order screen, if that half-item has any context items available, the POS displays the context items’ buttons with the three dots.
HR-55679 Star Kitchen Printer Buzzer Works Properly
In previous versions, if your location uses Star SP printers with MCS10 buzzers, you may have encountered a problem. In certain circumstances, the MCS10 buzzer may have failed to activate when the printer received an order from the POS. In the Admin Console, select an appropriate account and location. In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Location Setup, then click Printers. In the Printers screen, select an existing printer. In the printer’s Settings panel, if you select the Use Buzzer check box, the printer will run a buzzer sound to alert staff members each time it receives a print job. However, in previous versions, the buzzer may have failed to sound when receiving a print job. We have corrected this, and now when a Star SP printer receives a print job from the POS, the MCS10 buzzer will run properly.
HR-56266 Nontaxable Revenue Report Category Includes Data from All Locations
In previous versions, the Daily Summary Report may have failed to include all data in the Nontaxable Revenue report category. In the Admin Console, access a valid account with multiple locations, then click Reports in the Main Menu. In the Daily Summary Report screen, select Nontaxable Revenue in the Report Category list. In previous versions, after applying the Nontaxable Revenue category, if you “drilled down” into the report, it may have only listed items from one location. We have corrected this, and now when you drill down into the Nontaxable Revenue category, the Daily Summary Report includes items from all locations associated with the account.
HR-57179 Using Bridgepay Gift Cards in Online Ordering
In previous versions, if your location uses the Bridgepay gift service, you may have encountered problems in Online Ordering. Specifically, if a customer tried to pay a ticket with a Bridgepay gift card, the Online Ordering website may have declined the card, even if it was valid. We have corrected this, and now when customers pay a ticket with a valid Bridgepay gift card, the Online Ordering website processes the payment properly.
