What’s New?
The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
HR-55978 Reports Now Use Weights as Quantities for Weighted Items
We have modified the Admin Console to display weights as quantities for weighted menu items in its various reports. In previous versions, the Admin Console listed the quantities of weighted items as whole numbers (without decimals), which did not display their weights. When listing weighted menu items, the Admin Console now displays their quantities as weights, rounded to the second decimal (such as “2.25 oz”). To align with this change, we have also relabeled the quantity (Qty) column as Qty/Weight. When listing the weight of such items, the Admin Console includes the item’s unit of measurement (pound, ounce, kilogram, and so on). It also groups items and separates totals by their unit types.
HR-58243 “Scan for Points” QR Code Options Renamed for Como Locations
In locations that use the Como loyalty service, we have modified the labels of the Scan for Points QR code options. In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Location Setup, then click Rooms. In the Rooms screen, select an existing room. In the Rooms Settings screen, you can use the QR Code list to set the POS to print a QR code on guest tickets and transaction receipts for use with the Guest app. You should enable this feature for any location using the Guest app, as it allows customers to scan their tickets and receipts. In locations configured to use the Como loyalty service, we have renamed two options in the QR Code list. Specifically, the Scan for Points option now displays as Scan for Loyalty, and the Scan to Pay & Scan for Points option now displays as Scan to Pay & Scan for Loyalty.
HR-59319 Pay App Timeout Duration Shortened in V1 POS
For locations using the V1 POS, we have shortened the timeout duration for Pay App requests. In previous versions, when the POS tried and failed to connect to the Pay App, it usually took from two to three minutes to time out. We have shortened this timeout duration to under one minute.
Updates
The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
HR-46386 POS No Longer Adds Cash Discounts Automatically to Refund Tickets
In previous versions, if your location uses cash discounting, the POS may have automatically added the cash discount to refund tickets. Specifically, if you opened a ticket, then tapped Info, then tapped Refund Ticket, then added an item to the ticket, the POS may have added the cash discount to the ticket automatically. Therefore, the ticket would have both a refund for the item’s total amount and the cash discount, so the total discount did not match the item’s actual price and tax liability. In such cases, servers were unable to remove then cash discount. We have corrected this, and the POS no longer automatically adds cash discounts to refund tickets.
HR-56314 Location Overrides Included in Duplicated Menu Items
In previous versions, if you duplicated a menu item in the Admin Console, the program may have failed to include the item’s location override settings. To access the Items screen, log into the Admin Console and select an account. In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Account Menu, then click Items. In the Items screen, select an existing menu item. In the item’s Settings panel, if you click Duplicate, the program creates a new duplicate menu item record with the same settings as the current menu item record.
However, in previous versions, if the original menu item included any location override settings, the program may not have included them in a duplicate menu item record. We have corrected this, and now when you duplicate a menu item record that includes location overrides, the new duplicate record will include those location overrides from the original item.
