What’s New?
The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
Heartland Restaurant Classic
Alongside this release, we are launching the new Heartland Restaurant NextGen POS for iOS as a new app. Therefore, with this release, we have also renamed the original “V1” version of Heartland Restaurant to "Heartland Restaurant Classic", to better differentiate it from the new NextGen for iOS app. This does not affect its performance, and Heartland Restaurant Classic will continue to receive updates and support.
HR-50502 Associate Sales from Como App and Como Portal with Dedicated Separate Rooms
Locations that use the Como loyalty service can now associate sales from orders originating in the Como app or the Como embedded web portal with separate dedicated rooms. By creating dedicated rooms for orders originating from the Como app, the Como portal, and the Online Ordering website, you can now generate Daily Summary Reports that include separate sales totals for each source.
In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Locations, then click Online Ordering. In the Online Ordering screen, click the Online Ordering tab. In the Online Ordering tab, in the Carryout subtab, we have removed the Carryout box and replaced it with these three boxes:
- Online Ordering Carryout Room box: If you select a room in this list, the POS will associate all sales from carryout orders created in the Online Ordering website with that room.
- Loyalty App Carryout Room box: If you select a room in this list, the POS will associate all sales from carryout orders created in a third-party loyalty service app (such as the Como app) with that room.
- Loyalty Portal Carryout Room box: If you select a room in this list, the POS will associate all sales from carryout orders created in an embedded third-party loyalty service portal (such as Como) with that room.
Likewise, in the Delivery subtab, we have replaced the Delivery box with these three boxes:
- Online Ordering Delivery Room box: If you select a room in this list, the POS will associate all sales from delivery orders created in the Online Ordering website with that room.
- Loyalty App Delivery Room box: If you select a room in this list, the POS will associate all sales from delivery orders created in a third-party loyalty service app (such as the Como app) with that room.
- Loyalty Portal Delivery Room box: If you select a room in this list, the POS will associate all sales from delivery orders created in an embedded third-party loyalty service portal (such as Como) with that room.
You can also associate catering orders from the Como app and Como portal with dedicated rooms. In the Online Ordering screen, click the Catering tab. In the Catering tab, in the Carryout subtab, we have removed the Carryout box and replaced it with these three boxes:
- Online Ordering Catering Carryout Room box: If you select a room in this list, the POS will associate all sales from catering carryout orders created in the Online Ordering website with that room.
- Loyalty App Catering Carryout Room box: If you select a room in this list, the POS will associate all sales from catering carryout orders created in a third-party loyalty service app (such as the Como app) with that room.
- Loyalty Portal Catering Carryout Room box: If you select a room in this list, the POS will associate all sales from catering carryout orders created in an embedded third-party loyalty service portal (such as Como) with that room.

HR-57328 Alert and Verification Prompt for Overlapping Time Punches
If you create a time punch that overlaps with an existing time punch, the POS now displays a message to alert you of the overlap and verify that you still want to create the new time punch.
At the alert prompt, if you tap Yes, the POS will create the overlapping time punch.
The app also displays the alert if you edit the range of an existing time punch to overlap with another time punch.
