What's New?
The following release notes detail the enhancements we have included in this release.
HR-55991 Star printer series option now relabeled "Legacy"
In the Printers screen, we have changed the label of one of the options in the Series list. In the Admin Console's Main Menu, click Location Setup, then click Printers. In the Printers screen, select an existing printer. In the printer's Settings panel, if you select Star in the Brand list, the Series list displays all of the series of Star printers that Genius supports. In this list, the option for TSP (Thermal) has been renamed to TSP Thermal (Legacy). This differentiates it from the recently added options for Star TSP143 and TSP650 printers.
Updates
The following release notes detail the fixes we have included in this release.
HR-61149 On-screen keyboard no longer clears POS Item Search box
In previous versions, if you try to search for an item in the POS, you may have encountered a problem with the on-screen keyboard. In the POS Order screen, if you tap the Item Search box, the POS displays an on-screen keyboard, allowing you to enter the name of the menu item you are searching for. If you only enter a few characters into the box, the POS searches and displays all menu items with names that start with the characters you entered. These display as tiles that you can then select.
Normally, you can lower the keyboard to better view or access the tiles of the items found in your search. However, in previous versions, if you searched for an item and then lowered the keyboard, the POS may have cleared the characters from the Item Search box, thereby causing all displayed item tiles to disappear. We have corrected this, and now when you search for a menu item and then lower the on screen keyboard, the POS no longer clears the Item Search box.
HR-61775 Kiosk includes surcharge amounts and clause on customer receipts
In previous versions, if your location applies surcharges to Kiosk transactions, you may have encountered a problem. Specifically, if a customer placed an order on a Kiosk and processed a card payment with a PAX device, the POS may have failed to include the surcharge amount or the surcharge clause on the customer's printed receipt. In such cases, the POS added the surcharge to the customer's payment accurately; it simply did not print any surcharge information on the receipt. We have corrected this, and now when a customer pays for a Kiosk order with a PAX device, the app includes the surcharge amount and surcharge clause on the customer's printed receipt.
HR-63131 Cash transactions included in Daily Summary, Cash Summary, and Cash Drawer Summary Reports
In previous versions, the Admin Console may have failed to include cash transaction totals in the Daily Summary Report. In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Reports, then click Daily Summary. In the Daily Summary Report screen, in the Cash section, the Admin Console may have failed to list cash transactions, even if cash transactions were performed within the report's time range. In such cases, the program also failed to include cash transactions in the Cash Summary and Cash Drawer Summary Reports, as well as omitting cash transactions from the POS Server Checkout Reports. We have corrected this, and the POS and Admin Console now include cash transactions properly in the Daily Summary Report and all other relevant reports.
