The following release notes detail the enhancements we have included in this release.
HRTL-12366 Implement ‘Bundles’ Functionality
Heartland Retail now offers you the option to sell a predefined set of items as a bundle, and to assign bundle pricing to the included items according to your specifications. The use of bundles allows you to create package deals for customers as an incentive to purchase additional items.
Bundle permissions are listed under Settings > Roles. There are two permissions, View Bundle Information and Manage Bundles, and they are enforced as follows:
- View Bundle Information: Users with this permission have view-only access to bundles; they cannot add new bundles or make changes to any aspect of existing bundles and/or bundle items. These restrictions do not however prevent users from selling bundles.
- Manage Bundles: Users with this permission can access all aspects of bundles, including adding, editing, and deleting bundles, as well as adding or removing bundle items.
To get started with configuration, select Sales and then select Bundles.

HRTL-14696 Add ‘Manage Existing Taxes’ User Permission
With this release, we introduce a new setting to allow users to manage taxes when conducting transactions. The setting, Manage Existing Taxes, allows designated cashiers to easily edit taxes for items as needed when performing a sale.
HRTL-14715 Add Reorder Option to Quick Item Buttons
So that users can more easily find buttons for Quick Items in the point of sale, we have added the option to sort these items, as well as their corresponding parent buttons, so they display in the preferred order.
To use this functionality, navigate to the Sort Button Groups tab and then drag the items to the desired order using the up/down controls in the Sort column.
HRTL-14912 Add ‘Manage Existing Tax’ to Tax Modal
So that users can easily remove and/or restore taxes when managing a ticket during a sale, we have added a Manage Existing Tax tab to the Manage Tax modal of the point of sale. To adjust the tax for items, select the Tax button at the top of the screen and then navigate to the Manage Tax Rules tab.
From there, check the box for any items for which you wish to remove taxes and then select Save Changes. Taxes for the selected items will be removed. If you need to add taxes back, uncheck boxes for the desired items and select Save Changes.

HRTL-14271 Fix Display Issue on Multi-Page Purchase Receipt
In previous versions, if you deleted all items from the last page of a multi-page purchase receipt, after performing the operation, the system would erroneously display a message indicating there were no records to display. In order to view the items that still remained, you had to refresh the page. With this release, all remaining items display as expected in such scenarios.
HRTL-14842 Fix Primary Image Display on Customer Dashboard
In previous versions, instead of displaying the primary image when viewing a customer record, the system displayed the URL. We have corrected this, and the image now displays as intended.
HRTL-15153 Fix ‘Select All’ Behavior in Purchasing Modals
In previous versions, when viewing detail of purchasing receipts and returns, the Select All box was checked by default, even when no items were selected. With this release, the box behaves as intended, remaining unchecked unless selected.
HRTL-15179 Fix Erroneous Failed Payment Notification
In previous versions, merchants sometimes received failed payment notifications for card transactions that were successfully processed and written to the batch. This sometimes resulted in guests being charged twice when the merchant ran the card a second time. With this release, the POS correctly records such payments as expected.
HRTL-15218 Fix Paid-In/Paid-Out Reporting Discrepancy
In previous versions, there were sometimes discrepancies in totals for paid-in and paid-out when comparing the daily summary to the analysis report. We have corrected the underlying issue, and both reports now accurately reflect these totals as intended.
HRTL-15370 Fix Metadata Issue When Duplicating Grids
In previous versions, if you duplicated a grid containing BigCommerce metadata, this sometimes transferred to the newly created grid, which caused conflicts when syncing to Big Commerce. With this release, the metadata does not carry over and syncs to BigCommerce process without incident as expected.
HRTL-15397 Fix TSP100 Printer Issues in iOS Environment
We have addressed an issue that caused unpredictable behavior with regard to sending signals to cash drawers and printing receipts via the TSP100 printer from iOS devices. Users can now perform such functions without incident as intended.
HRTL-15411 Fix Keyboard Behavior When Updating Item Quantity in iOS
In previous versions, if you used a physical keyboard to update an item quantity, and then used the enter key to confirm your change, the POS would not save the updated quantity value. This behavior occurred only on iOS devices. With this release, the quantity saves as expected.
