Updates
The following release notes detail the updates we have included in this release.
HR-2347 Reports Display Accurate Totals for Large PAAT Transactions
In previous versions, if your site uses the Pay-at-the-Table service, you may have encountered a problem. If the site processed a ticket with an amount exceeding $1000, the POS may not have displayed the transaction’s amount properly in its reports. Specifically, the POS may have displayed the transaction with a significantly lower amount (such as $6), even though the transaction was processed properly. We have corrected this, and now when you process a payment exceeding $1000 with the Pay-at-the-Table service, the POS and the Admin Console will display the transaction’s total accurately in its reports.
HR-3083 COMO Credit Payments Include Taxes
In previous versions, if your site uses the Como service, you may have encountered a problem. In certain circumstances, if a customer paid a ticket with Como credit, the POS may have been applied the payment to the ticket’s items, but not the taxes. After processing the payment, the ticket’s total tax amount would remain unpaid. In such cases, this remaining amount could only be paid with a credit card. We have corrected this, and now if a customer pays a ticket with Como credit, the POS applies the payment to the ticket’s full amount, including taxes.
HR-3622 Online Order Cart No Longer Disappears
In previous versions of the Online Order website, when a customer accessed the checkout screen and logged into a Heartland loyalty account, the cart icon may have disappeared, forcing the customer to tap the cart icon again to return to the checkout screen. We have corrected this, and now when a customer logs into a Heartland loyalty account, the website accesses the checkout screen successfully to complete the transaction.
HR-3715 POS Adds Correct Scanned Items
In previous versions, if your site scans barcodes, you may have encountered a problem. When you scan an item’s barcode, if the item’s SKU number is used for multiple items, the POS displays a list of all items with that SKU number, allowing you to select the appropriate item. However, in previous versions, when you selected an item in the list, the POS may have added a different item from the list to the ticket. We have corrected this, and now when you scan an item and then select an item in the selection list, the POS adds the correct item to the ticket.
HR-4205 Saving Online Order Settings Without Order Balancing
In previous versions, if you tried to change settings in the Online Ordering screen, the Admin Console may have required you to enter a value in the Order Balancing settings, even if your location was not using Order Balancing. In the Admin Console’s Main Menu, click Location Setup, then click Online Ordering. In the Online Ordering screen, if you changed the settings in the General, Online Ordering, or Catering tab and then clicked
, the Admin Console may have displayed an error message stating that you cannot save your changes until entering a value in the Kitchen Capacity Leading Up to Order Balancing Schedule box (on the Order Balancing tab). The Admin Console may have displayed this message, even if Order Balancing was not enabled for the location. We have corrected this, and the Admin Console no longer requires you to enter a value in the Kitchen Capacity Leading Up to Order Balancing Schedule box if Order Balancing is not enabled.
HR-4232 POS Offline Mode Without Store and Forward
In previous versions, if your site uses a payment gateway with the Heartland SDK PAX interface option and does not use the Store and Forward feature, you may have encountered a problem. In the POS, if you accessed the Manager screen (General tab) and enabled the Force Offline Credit Card Processing switch, the POS may have displayed an error message (“Unable to Change Mode”) regardless of whether you had a PAX device connected to the POS or not. The message instructed users to verify that the PAX device supports the “GetSAFParameters command”.
Now, if you do not have the PAX device connected on the POS, the POS will no longer display an error message if you try to disable the Force Offline Credit Card Processing switch. It will still display this message if you have a PAX device connected. However, if necessary, you can disconnect the PAX function in the Admin Console, disable the Force Offline Credit Card Processing switch, then reconnect the PAX function. The POS will then allow you to perform offline transactions with the Monetary service and online transactions on the PAX device. In short, you must disconnect the PAX function before enabling or disabling the Force Offline switch.
HR-4259 Apple Pay Option Available with SMS Pay Link
In previous versions, if your site uses the QR payment feature to send SMS text messages to customers with links to the site’s payment web site, the payment site may not have displayed the Apple Pay payment option, even if the site was set to do so. We have corrected this, and now when customers access the payment web site by clicking a link in an SMS payment message, the web site now displays the Apple Pay payment option properly.
GPR-1085 Online Order Displays Prices Properly
In the Admin Console, you can create a pricing rule that modifies the prices of menu items within a specific room. In previous versions, when a customer selected an item in the Online Order website and then added modifiers to the item, the program may have displayed the item’s price as modified by a pricing rule, even if the pricing rule didn’t apply to the item. (If the customer then added the item to the Cart, the Online Order website would display the item in the cart with the correct price and charge the correct price.) We have corrected this, and the Online Order website no longer displays prices modified by pricing rules to items with modifiers.
