Enhancements
The following release notes detail the enhancements we have included in this release.
Mobile App
HMM-2928 – Added Orange Dot to Updated Items in Manager Logbook Entry
Description: The mobile app now displays an orange dot next to items that were updated in Manager
Logbook entries.
Details: In previous versions of the mobile app, if you made changes to a Manager Logbook entry, there
was no way to recognize which items had been updated. With this release, the mobile app displays an orange dot next to each updated item. For example, if you change the Priority of a task or note, the mobile app will display an orange dot next to Priority for that entry.
In the example depicted above, all items were updated.
HMM-2929 – Clarified Message When Opening Alerts for Deleted Manager Logbook Entries
Description: If you tap an alert for a deleted Manager Logbook entry, the mobile app now informs you that the associated entry has been deleted.
Details: In previous versions, if you attempted to open an alert for a deleted Manager Logbook entry, the
mobile app would display a vague message (“No data available.”). With this release, it informs you that the associated entry has been deleted (“The entry has been deleted.”).
HMM-2935 – Manager Logbook Displays Count of Unread Entries
Description: The Manager Logbook entry list view now displays the number of unread entries.
Details: With this release, the entry list of Manager Logbook displays the number of unread entries.
- If there are no unread entries, it will not display a number.
- It will not display the number of read entries.
HMM-2996 – Suppress Banner Messages Related to an Entry After Navigating Away from Entry
Description: Mobile Manager no longer displays banner messages related to an entry after you navigate
away from entry.
Details: In previous versions, if you attempted to create or edit an entry but left required fields blank, the
mobile app would display banner messages informing you of the error(s). If you then navigated away from the entry without saving, it would sometimes continue to display the banner messages atop the current (unrelated) page. With this release, if you navigate away from an entry, the mobile app suppresses any additional banner messages and will display only messages related to the current page.
HMM-2997 – Improve Behavior of Hardware Back Button in Android Environment
Description: We have improved the behavior of the hardware back button in the Android Environment.
Details: In previous versions, if you tapped the back button while in first level page of the mobile app, or
while viewing the Manager Logbook entry list, the app would close. With this release, if you use the back button while in ‘select’ mode, it will return you to ‘view’ mode. If you use it while in ‘view’ mode, it will close the app.
HMM-3036 – Clarified Error Message When Action Fails Due to No Internet
Description: We have clarified the error that appears if you attempt to save an entry while the Internet
connection is lost.
Details: In previous versions of the mobile app, if you attempted to save an entry when the Internet was
down, the program would display a vague error (“Internal server error.”) without indicating the source of the problem. With this release, it displays a clear message informing you of the Internet status (“No Internet connection. Please try again later.”), and stays on the current page, preserving the unsaved data so that you can easily save it when the Internet is restored.
HMM-3069 – Added Message to Key Stats and Reports Views for Store Owners With No Stores
Description: We have added a message to the Key Stats and Reports views for Store Owners who do not have stores assigned.
Details: In previous versions, if a Store Owner who did not yet have any stores assigned logged into the
mobile app, the Key Stats and Reports views would display blank pages with no explanation. With this release, the program displays a message for the Store Owner (“This account isn't attached to a store yet. Please contact your Admin/Dealer to attach store(s) to this account and see real-time data on the app.”) so they can easily correct the problem.
HMM-3243 – Added Weekday Names to All Pages of Mobile App
Description: The Mobile Manager app now displays weekday names instead of numbers.
Details: Previous versions of the mobile app used sequential numbers to days of the week in reports so
that, instead of displaying the name of the weekday, it would display the number assigned to that weekday (for
example, "0" for Sunday, "1" for Monday, etc.). With this release, the app uses the name of the weekday in all reports.
- Legends use full names (Sunday, Monday, etc.)
- Bar chart column labels use abbreviated names (Su, Mo, etc.)
Admin Console
HMM-3792 – Added Red Asterisk to Required Fields When Creating Entities
Description: The Admin Console now displays all required fields with asterisks.
Details: So that you can easily see what is required when creating an entity, we have added red
asterisks to all required fields.
As well, to eliminate unnecessary text, where we previously noted optional fields with the caption ‘Optional’, these are now unmarked.
HMM-2574 – Added ‘Test’ and ‘Demo’ Options to Wider Range of Entities
Description: You can now designate a wider range of entities as Test and Demo in the Admin Console.
Details: Previous versions of the Admin Console did not allow you to designate certain entity types as
Test and Demo. With this release, we have expanded this so that you can assign Test and Demo to all entity types.
HMM-2586 – Hide Deleted Stores from Push Notification Setup Page
Description: The Admin Console now hides deleted stores from the Push Notifications setup page.
Details: Previous versions of the Admin Console displayed all stores, included deleted stores, on the
Push Notifications setup page. To eliminate confusion and unnecessary filtering, the Admin Console now hides deleted stores from this page.
Please note: The Admin Console will still display deleted stores in the list of stores on the Store Owner
Information page, and will designate these with gray, strike-through font (Deleted Store).
HMM-2589 – Improved Behavior When Adding New Users from Store Page
Description: We have improved the way the Admin Console handles the creation of new users from the
Store page so that it now immediately displays the new users.
Details: In previous releases, the Admin Console did not immediately display new users in the list on the
Store page after they were added. With this release, it automatically displays the new users with the selection checkbox checked by default.
HMM-3013 – Removed ‘Back’ Button from All Update Entities Pages
Description: We have removed the Back button from all entities’ update pages.
Details: When you click an entity to update it, the link opens the page in a new window. With this in
mind, we have removed the Back button from these pages as it serves no purpose.
HMM-3038 – Improved Behavior When Creating ‘Day Parts’ for Push Notifications
Description: We have improved the way the Admin Console handles creation of day parts for Push
Notifications so that it does not allow duplications, and so that it displays an appropriate message when if you attempt to save a duplicate.
Details: When you create day parts for Push Notifications for a given store, the Admin Console now
validates your request before saving it to ensure that it is not a duplication, either in name, or time range, of an existing day part for that store.
- In cases where you enter a duplicate name, it will display, “The day part name [filled name] already exists. Please try with another day part name.'”
- In cases where you enter a duplicate time range, it will display, “The day part with the chosen time range already exists. Please try with another day part time range.”
HMM-3040 – Added Quick Edit Option for Invited Users’ Email Addresses
Description: You can now edit an invited user’s email address without updating the entire page.
Details: Previous versions of the Admin Console required you to go an invited user’s page in order to
update their email address. With this release, we have added a pencil icon next to the email box. To edit the email address, click the pencil icon, enter the new email address in the pop-up prompt, and click Update. The Admin Console will display a message at the top of the screen indicating the changes were successful, and will send an invitation email to the new email address.
HMM-3186 – Removed ‘Total’ Line from Report Sections with Only One Line Item
Description: We have removed the total line from reports and report sections that include only one line item.
Details: Since it is redundant to list a total where only one line item is recorded, we now omit the total
lines from reports and report sections that fit this scenario. The resulting reports are clearer and more concise.
HMM-3239 – Improved Data Validation of Push Notification Setup Page
Description: We have improved the way the Admin Console validates data on the Push Notifications setup
page so that, if a push notification is turned on, it enforces required fields.
Details: With this release, if a push notification is enabled, you must enter required values before saving.
If you fail to do so, the affected field(s) and page headings will display in red, and the Update button will not activate. Once you have correctly completed the form, the headings will display normally, and the Update button will activate.
HMM-3240 – Disabled Editing of ‘Client’ Field on Store Page
Description: We have disabled the option to edit the Client field.
Details: Since it has no practical value, we have disabled the option to edit the Client field on the Store
page.
HMM-3268 – Add Information and Warning When Copying Settings with Store Mapping
Description: We have added a warning when copying store mapping settings from one user to another will result in unlinking stores from a user, as well as an informational text box by the Store Mapping option.
Details: To avoid inadvertently unlinking stores from users in the process of copying settings from one
user to another, we have added a warning message detailing which linkages will be lost if you complete the action. For example, if Store Owner1 is linked to Store1 and Store2, and Store Owner2 is linked to Store1, Store2, Store3, and Store4, copying Store Owner1’s store mapping settings to Store Owner2 would unlink Store Owner2 from Store3 and Store4. The Admin Console checks for such impacts and warns you accordingly so that you may opt to Cancel or Accept. We have also added a question mark icon next to the Store Mapping option that, when hovered over, displays a message informing you of the implications of its use.
HMM-3255 – Changed Graph Style to Donut with Option to Include Secondary Grouping
Description: We have updated the Admin Console’s graph style from pie chart to donut.
Details: To better reflect sales percentages, with both primary and secondary grouping, we have
changed the style of report graphs to donut style. With this change, the following is true:
- If only the primary grouping is selected, the donut graph will be divided on a single level.
- If both primary and secondary groupings are selected, the graph will show both levels, with primary in the innermost part of the donut, and secondary in the outermost.
- Regardless of grouping selection, the graph legend will contain only primary grouping items.
- The percentage value will display within sectors for both primary and secondary groupings.
- The percentage for each secondary grouping sector is relative to the entire 100%, and not from its parent primary grouping item.
- If you hover over any sector of the donut graph, it will display its related value. This is true for both primary and secondary group sectors.
- The donut graph will contain a maximum of ten first-level sectors, and will order them from highest to lowest. If there are more than ten items to include, it will include the first nine, and lump the remainder into the tenth sector, which will be labeled “Other”.

HMM-3256 – Added Report Preview to Report Update Page
Description: We have added the option to preview a report directly from the Report update page.
Details: We have added a Preview button to the Report update page so that you can quickly change
report settings and view related data without leaving the page. Once you have selected desired options for your report, select the Preview button to immediately display the resulting report at the bottom of the page.
HMM-3259 – Improved Success Message When Copying Settings from One User to Another
Description: We have clarified the success message that appears after copying settings from one user to
another.
Details: In previous versions, the Admin Console only included one user’s name in the success
message after copying settings from one user to another, and it did not indicate clearly which user’s settings were changed. With this release, the message includes both users’ names, and indicates whose settings were copied to whom.
HMM-3273 – Expanded Test / Demo / Real Filters to All Entity Pages
Description: We have added filters to all entity pages so that you can filter by account type.
Details: You can now filter entities on all pages by account type. Each entity page includes checkboxes
for each of the three account types.
- Include Demo Accounts
- Include Real Accounts
- Include Test Accounts
The Admin Console will display only items matching your selections, and will immediately update as you
check/uncheck boxes.
Mobile App + Admin Console
HMM-3166 – Apply Designated “Starting Day” when Displaying Reports Unless ‘Sort/Order is Selected
Description: The Admin Console and mobile app can now display reports grouped by Store and Starting
Day.
Details: With this release, you can now generate reports using Store and Starting Day as grouping
headings. Depending on your selections, the Admin Console and mobile will group by Store and then Starting Day, or vice versa.
- If you change the Starting Day on the Admin Console, the mobile app will pick up the change and sort your reports accordingly.
- Selecting Sort/Order will override these headings.
HMM-3190 – Added Ascending / Descending Sort Option to Report Columns
Description: We have added the option to sort report columns in ascending or descending order on both the Admin Console and mobile app.
Details: We have added sorting to report columns in the Admin Console and mobile app. To use this
function, simply tap or click the arrow icon in the desired column heading and the program will sort the column’s data accordingly. An up-pointing arrow indicates ascending order, and a down-pointing arrow indicates descending.
