Thank you for choosing Heartland as your Point of Sale partner. The following guide will help you install and connect all of your hardware. There is also a guided setup feature within your Heartland software that will help you configure important functions and settings.
In conjunction, both guides will help you configure everything needed to get up and running.

Setting yourself up for success
An active internet connection will be required to sign in to your Heartland software and connect devices. Please have your WiFi SSID (network name) and password handy to streamline the setup process.
You'll receive an email containing a Heartland account activation link and login credentials. You'll need this information to start the guided access process.
Installing your hardware
The first step in your journey to success is connecting all of the hardware. Follow along the Hardware Setup guide for assistance hooking up all of your hardware.

Configuring your Heartland software
We recommend that you begin configuring your Heartland software by utilizing the guided access feature within the software. You can complete this on the iPad; however, it is recommended to use a separate computer for the best experience. You can begin configuring your Heartland software with guided access by referring back to the account activation email you received. The email will contain a link to get started.
Refer back to this user guide once you start the Devices section for Heartland Restaurant or the Credit Cards section for Heartland Retail within guided access. The guides below, alongside the guided access feature, will help you configure each of your devices.
